Research on the Method of Rainfall Field Retrieval Based on the Combination of Earth–Space Links and Horizontal Microwave Links

High-precision retrieval of rainfall over large areas is great importance for the research atmospheric detection and social life. With rapid development communication satellite constellations 5G networks, use widely distributed networks earth–space links (ESLs) horizontal microwave (HMLs) to retrieve has potential obtaining high-precision fields complementing traditional instruments measurement. In this paper, we carry out combining multiple ESLs with HMLs fields. Firstly, a network retrieving built based on propagation model ESL HML. Then, ordinary Kriging interpolation (OK) radial basis function (RBF) neural are applied reconstruction Finally, performance joint in area validated. The results show that OK algorithm RBF capable distribution rain rates different cells high accuracy, root mean square error (RMSE) real lower than 0.56 mm/h, correlation coefficient (CC) higher 0.996. addition, CC stratiform convective by 0.949, indicating characteristics two types events can be accurately monitored.
